A Delegation from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia, Led by Vice President Adi Maulana, Visits the College of Food Science and Technology at Nanchang University for Academic Exchange

Recently, Nanchang University warmly welcomed a delegation from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia. The delegation was led by Professor Adi Maulana, Vice President of Hasanuddin University, and included Professor Andi Muhammad Akhmar, Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, and Professor Syahdar Baba, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science.

A symposium was held between the delegation from Hasanuddin University and representatives from the College of Food Science and Technology, Nanchang University. The university’s representatives included Professor Wan Hao, Vice Dean of the School; Researcher Huang Xiaojun, Member of the School’s Party Committee; Researcher Zhang Bing, Deputy Director of the Department of Food Nutrition and Safety; and Professor Liu Ziliang. The two sides held in-depth discussions on potential cooperation in food science and related fields, and the launch of joint talent training programs.

This visit would serve as a a starting point to enhance communication and joint efforts between the two universities. They agreed to promote practical cooperation in platform construction, academic research, and talent exchange, so as to elevate the development of food science disciplines at both institutions to a new level.

In addition, the delegation visited the Analytical Testing Center and the Pilot Food Production Workshop at the International Food Innovation Institute of Nanchang University. During the visit, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of the institute’s development history, research priorities, technological advantages, and industry-university-research cooperation model. The delegation spoke highly of the outstanding achievements and strengths of Nanchang University in food science, and expressed expectations for accelerating substantive cooperation between the two universities in relevant fields.
