In order to fully implement Nanchang University's talent-driven university development and technological innovation strategy, vigorously promote the recruitment of outstanding postdoctoral researchers, expand the disciplinary growth momentum, and foster the "talent pool" of talents in the university's "green food" discipline, the College of Food Science and Technology is offering four types of positions to talents at home and abroad: Distinguished Talents, Academic Leaders, Academic Direction Leaders, and Outstanding Academic Talents. We aim to support first-tier disciplinary development of the discipline and make new and greater contributions to serving the strategies of building a strong education country and a powerful province through science and education!
I. Basic Requirements for Talent Introduction
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
(1) Possess the nationality of the People's Republic of China.
(2) Abide by the Constitution and laws and uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China as well as the socialist system.
(3) Have good political qualities and moral character.
(4) Meet the qualifications, professional credentials, skill requirements and physical conditions required for the recruited position.
(5) Hold a doctoral degree (both academic degree and educational background). Among them, 2026 graduates from regular institutions of higher education must obtain their doctoral degree certificates by December 31, 2026; those who fail to do so on time will be disqualified for employment. Alternatively, applicants shall have a senior professional and technical title (first-class) along with a graduate educational background and a master's degree or above.
(6) Be under 40 years old (born after January 27, 1985). This age limit may be appropriately relaxed for Distinguished Talents, Academic Leaders and Academic Direction Leaders.
(7) Meet other qualifications required by the recruited position.
II. Types of Recruited Talents
(1) Distinguished Talents
Possess strong academic leadership, with internationally recognized pioneering achievements and outstanding academic contributions in their field; have experience in organizing and planning major scientific research projects, and demonstrate prominent overall planning capabilities in researching major strategic issues of economic and social development; possess strategic scientist-level planning capabilities for disciplinary development and scientific research, and be able to lead relevant disciplinary clusters to maintain or surpass the domestic leading and international advanced level.
(2) Academic Leaders
Possess strong academic organization capabilities, with influential achievements and remarkable academic accomplishments reaching the domestic leading or international advanced level in their discipline; have active academic thinking and creative visions for disciplinary development, and be able to lead the discipline to enter the domestic leading position and strive for the domestic leading and international advanced level in cutting-edge disciplinary fields.
(3) Academic Direction Leaders
Possess strong team organization capabilities, with important representative achievements in their disciplinary (professional) direction, along with good academic competitiveness and great development potential; have the ability to formulate development plans for the disciplinary direction and innovative visions for disciplinary construction and academic research.
(4) Outstanding Academic Talents
Possess strong academic capabilities, with influential representative achievements in their discipline; have development potential, innovative visions for disciplinary construction, and the potential to support the discipline in maintaining or striving for the domestic advanced level. Generally, applicants should have postdoctoral experience of 2 years or more in well-known domestic or foreign universities or research institutes, have experience in presiding over national-level scientific research projects, and possess the potential to be recognized as national-level young talents. Newly appointed personnel will sign a probationary employment contract with the university for 6 years, and a renewal contract will be signed upon passing the tenure assessment.
All the above talent requirements mandate that applicants hold a doctoral degree (both academic degree and educational background) or a senior professional and technical title (first-class).

V. Recruitment Procedures
This recruitment plan will be implemented from the date of announcement until the end of 2026, and will close once all positions are filled. The recruitment work will be carried out in accordance with the procedures of registration, eligibility review, assessment, physical examination, inspection, public announcement, and employment.
(1) Registration
1. Applicants shall compile the following documents into a single compressed file and send it to the college’s email address (spxy@ncu.edu.cn): "Nanchang University 2026 New Version Recommendation Form for Full-Time Recruitment of High-Level Talents", "Commitment Letter on Reporting Close Relatives for Nanchang University Applicants", a detailed personal resume, relevant achievement materials, and three letters of recommendation. The size of each compressed file should not exceed 5M.
2. Submission Requirements: Clearly indicate the following information in the email subject and attachment: graduating university, applicant’s name and educational background, major studied, intended college and specific position (e.g., XX University + Wang XX (Postdoctoral) + XX Major + Applying for Outstanding Academic Talent Position in the College of Food Science and Technology)
3. Applicants must carefully and truthfully fill in and submit relevant materials. Any consequences resulting from providing false materials shall be borne by the applicant themselves.
(2) Eligibility Review
The college will conduct a preliminary review of applicants' eligibility to determine those who qualify for the assessment. For applicants with incomplete or non-compliant application materials, they shall supplement and improve the materials in a timely manner within the specified time limit and re-submit them for review as required. Failure to submit within the time limit will be deemed an unsuccessful application.
Eligibility review will run through the entire recruitment process. If any applicant is found to have engaged in fraudulent practices or fails to meet the position requirements, their qualification for assessment and employment will be disqualified once verified. The applicant shall bear all consequences arising therefrom.
(3) Assessment
Based on the registration situation, assessments will be organized irregularly, and the specific assessment time and venue will be notified separately by phone. There is no minimum proportion requirement for the number of participants in the assessment.
In accordance with the position requirements, the university will assess applicants' teaching and research capabilities, professional qualifications, and other aspects. The assessment will be scored out of 100 points, with a passing score of 80 points. Only applicants who achieve the passing score will be shortlisted for the physical examination.
(4) Physical Examination
Applicants who pass the assessment must undergo a physical examination at a location designated by the university. The physical examination standards shall be implemented with reference to the "General Standards for Physical Examination of Civil Servant Recruitment (Trial)" (Issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security [2016] No. 140) and relevant university regulations. Those who fail the physical examination will not be employed. Honest participation in the physical examination is required; any applicant found to have engaged in fraudulent practices will have their employment qualification revoked once verified.
(5) Investigation
An investigation will be conducted on applicants who pass the physical examination to fully understand their political quality, moral character, work ability, compliance with laws and disciplines, integrity and self-discipline, academic and work performance, physical and mental health, and other relevant aspects.
(6) Public Announcement
The proposed candidates who pass the investigation will be publicly announced for 5 working days.
(7) Employment
For the proposed candidates who pass the assessment, physical examination and investigation and have no objections during the public announcement period, employment procedures will be handled in accordance with relevant regulations, and a probationary period will be implemented in accordance with national relevant provisions. Those who fail the assessment at the end of the probationary period will be dismissed in accordance with relevant regulations.
