From December 27th to 28th, 2025, Prof. Inthawoot Suppavorasatit, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, along with Chaleeda Borompichaichartkul, Director of the Future Food and Industry Promotion Center at the Faculty of Science, and Kitipong Assatarakul, Head of the Food Technology Department, visited NCU for academic exchanges.
On the afternoon of the 27th, three professors visited the Analytical Testing Center and Food Pilot Plant of the International Institute of Food Innovation of NCU (IIFI), as well as the State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Resources (SKLFSR). They gained a deep understanding of the research and development capabilities and the construction of innovation platforms in the food science at NCU, and spoke highly of the advancement of the discipline.

On the 28th, Prof. Yin Junyi, Dean of the College of Food Science and Technology held a symposium with the delegation from Chulalongkorn University, focusing on the scientific and technological cooperation between the two parties. Prof. Huang Xiaojun, member of the Party Committee, Prof. Zhang Bing, Deputy Director of the Department of Food Nutrition and Safety, Prof. Peng Zhen, Deputy Director of the Department of Food Fermentation and Biological Engineering, and Liu Ziliang also attended the symposium. During the meeting, both parties conducted comprehensive and in-depth discussions on the topics about exploring Thailand’s unique agricultural product resources, developing new processing technologies and functional foods, implementing technological products, and establishing a “Belt and Road” Joint Laboratory in the future. Both parties hope to leverage this exchange as an opportunity to strengthen communication, interaction, and cooperation between the two universities. They aim to build a bridge for cooperation in areas such as platform construction, subject development, and talent exchange, thereby elevating the development of food-related disciplines at both universities to a new level. In the afternoon of the same day, three professors from Chulalongkorn University delivered academic reports to the faculty and students of NCU on topics including future food, flavor chemistry, and food processing, fostering a vibrant academic atmosphere.
